IN OUR Leesburg Center for the ArtsGALLERY:

An Evening with Art
August 21, 2009 at 7pm
An intimate concert featuring show tunes, classics and standards from days gone by. Tickets are $10 each and include admission, coffee and dessert.

Middle School Art Club begins
August 31 at 4:30pm
Every Monday beginning August 31, students grades 6 to 8 are invited to participate in the FREE Middle School Art Club at the Leesburg Center for the Arts including student led projects, guest artists, and opportunities to participate in Art Exhibits.

Fall Songwriting Workshop begins
September 14 at 7pm
This workshop is a group hands-on learning experience that teaches the fundamentals of songwriting as well as allowing the exploration of the songwriting world through group interaction and community building.

Ridiculously Beautiful Art by PJ Commerford
September 17 to October 15, 2009
Internationally collected by celebrities and art enthusiasts alike, PJ Commerford shares her obvious affection for the unconventional in fine art. www.artbypj.com

4th Annual “Art in the Gardens”
September 19, 2009
Some of the most beautiful private gardens and some of the most talented Plein Air Artists come together for “Art in the Gardens.” Tour these gardens and watch the artists at work. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the event.

Figure Drawing Studio Workshops
begin September 23 at 7pm
Led by a moderator and includes a live model, the figure drawing “open studio sessions” begin September 23 and run through November 18. No registration is necessary, but there is a $10 fee at the door.

Art Zone for Kids
October 3 at 9am
Held the first Saturday of the month in conjunction with the Saturday Morning Market Season from October through May. $15 class fee includes all supplies for students ages 4 to 12. Advanced registration is required.

An Evening of Fine Wine, Fine Food, and Fine Art
October 3 at 6pm
A four course catered dinner at the Leesburg Center for the Arts with wine pairings along with a live art performance. Tickets are $78 each and are available at the Two Old Hags Wine Shoppe located at the corner of 5th and Main Streets in Downtown Leesburg. Get ready to “bring on your bling” to this event that will benefit the children’s programs of the Leesburg Center for the Arts.

2009 Central Florida Health Alliance Business EXPO
October 8 at 2pm
Hosted by the Leesburg Area Chamber of Commerce at Lake Sumter Community College, we are looking for volunteers who are willing to help us promote the 2009 Beast Feast at our expo booth. To sign up, just call us at 352-365-0232.

Beast Feast 2009
October 29, 2009
Under the oaks of the Historic Mote Morris House, this event features a great variety of exotic and unusual meats along with sides, beverages and live entertainment. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

The 2010 Collectors Circle

What is the Collectors Circle?

The Collectors Circle is an elite group of art patrons supporting the Leesburg Center for the Arts and the Leesburg Fine Art Festival by pre-committing funds to purchase art during the Festival.

What does a member receive?

$250 in purchase vouchers (minimum)
VIP treatment at the Collectors Circle Hospitality Suite
A personal shopper (by request)
Secure storage of purchases while you are at the festival

VIP Parking
An exclusive invitation to the Artists’ Award Reception
A private viewing of works selected for awards by the judges.

The Center for the Arts needs the following items: A digital camera, solid color tablecloths and fabric, copy paper, any art supplies (paint, glue, paper, mat board scraps), handyman tools and stamps.
