2011 Leesburg Art Festival Poster Artist Announced

The Leesburg Center for the Arts has announced Suzanne Pelcha as the official poster artist for the 2011 Leesburg Art Festival.  Her pastel work titled “Saturday on the Square” has been chosen as the signature image for this year’s festival.  The original work will be on display through January 26 along with a full gallery exhibit of her pastel paintings at the Leesburg Center for the Arts located at 429 W. Magnolia Street in Historic Downtown Leesburg.

After 17 years working for non profit organizations, Pelcha is now pursuing her dreams of drawing and painting.  She has been recognized in the past by the Leesburg Center for the Arts as the official poster artist of the 2009 Art in the Gardens and Artist of the Year in 2010.  She was the recipient of the 2009 Professional Development Grant by United Arts of Central Florida.  She is currently a member of the Leesburg Center for the Arts, the Leesburg Art Association, and Vice President of the Pastel Society of Central Florida.   A sampling of her work can be seen on her website: http://artid.com/members/suzannespastels.
