Artist Statement

Price and Loretta Youngman are a husband and wife team with a series of Mixed Media art called “Textures.” This is a new mixed media approach to painting which creates dimensionally textured gesso on board over painted in opaque and transparent watercolor and acrylic washes ranging in size from 6x6 to 40x48.

Their “Textures” series has been seen this year at the Naples Invitational Art Festival and will be featured at the Leesburg Fine Art Festival. Price and Loretta have also participated with other series in festivals such as ArtFest Fort Myers, Ponce Inlet Fine Art Festival, and the Anna Maria Island Springfest.
