Artist Statement 

The details in Lynn Ferris’ watercolors flow seamlessly with the artist’s sense of color and tone. There’s a newness and comfort to her work. One feels refreshed for having seen it, yet completely at home…as if you’ve known this work all your life.

Lynn Ferris, NWS is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society and the Florida Watercolor Society. Originally from New Jersey, she attended Moore College of Art in Philadelphia. She has worked as both a commercial and architectural illustrator. She is also a watercolor instructor, teaching both classes and workshops. Her limited edition prints have been featured nationally by the French Creek Sheep & Wool Company and her watercolor entitled “The Group” appeared as cover art on the “Journal of the American Veterinary Medial Association.” Lynn has participated in many one person and juried shows, where her work has received numerous awards. Solo shows include The Leesburg Center for the Arts, The Monongalia Arts Center, and Harbor Court Gallery. She was the subject of a feature article in “Watercolor” magazine, published by American Artist.

Lynn’s work is included in the permanent collection of Arts and Sciences in Daytona Beach, Florida. Recently, her painting entitled “Joe” received the top award in the 36th Annual Florida Watercolor Society Exhibition.
